Mobile Untethered: Lessons Learned without the Wires

Are you looking for insight into real-life companies and how “going mobile” has changed the roles for developers and testers in their organizations?

TapQA Delivery Director Rick Faulise will share strategies that have worked—and not worked—for organizations. What do you, as a developer or tester, need to think about when you move into mobile web and mobile apps? It is important to understand the changes required in your skill set and to keep up to date on what organizations are looking for in their resources as they embark on their mobile strategies. Rick will explore the state of mobile technology, focus on the software quality challenges it poses, and offer ways to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of mobile testing. They discuss how to integrate the mobile testing effort into the overall testing process. He will offer a focused look at the automation of mobile testing—the needs, the options, and the tools. At the end of the session, join Rick for a live demonstration of a mobile test automation approach.

About the Presenter:

Rick has been working in the automated testing space for eighteen years—managing teams building fully automated test suites and pioneering new automation technologies. He has worked to expand automation capabilities outside standard methodologies and into new platforms—mobile devices, streaming devices, TVs, and autos. With his management experience Rick has successfully integrated QA activities throughout the entire development lifecycle. He is well versed in implementing and defining CI processes for clients across multiple industries and platforms.
